Where is my rice! Rice thief boiled in egg sauce
Dalgyal jangjorim (braised eggs in soy sauce)
[Ingredients]
20 hard/soft boiled eggs
20 (100g) garlic cloves
16 (100g) Ggwari peppers
4 (40g) Cheongyang peppers
5&1/2 cups (1L) water
1&1/2 cups (285ml) dark soy sauce
2/3 cups (96g) brown sugar
1/4 cup (64g) starch syrup
[Directions]
1. Add water, dark soy sauce, brown sugar, and starch syrup to a pot.
2. Put on high heat and stir to dissolve the sugar.
3. Add eggs to the mixture and boil for about 30 minutes. (Boil down until the desired color has come out regardless of time.)
4. Pierce 3 – 4 holes in Ggwari peppers using a toothpick.
5. Slice the garlic cloves into 3 – 4 pieces.
6. Chop the Cheongyang peppers diagonally, 1 cm thick.
7. After about 30 minutes, add Ggwari peppers, garlic, and Cheongyang peppers, and continue cooking for 1 minute.
8. Cool the dalgyal jangjorim and store in an air-tight container.
