Bibimmyun Made From Ramyun
Eomuk Bibim Ramyun
(Spicy Ramyun Noodles with Fish-cake)
[Ingredients]
* For Sauce
1/2 stalks (50g) spring onions
1 tbsp (12g) brown sugar
1/2 tbsp (4g) coarse red pepper powder
Approx. 1/3 tbsp (6g) red pepper paste
1 packet of ramyun seasoning
1 tbsp (7g) sesame oil
1 tbsp (7g) cooking oil
* For Bibim Ramyun
1 block of ramyun noodles
1 packet of solid flakes
3 cups (540ml) water
1 sheet (50g) rectangular eomuk (fish-cake)
1 (60g) king oyster mushroom
Sesame seeds
[How to make]
1. Slice eomuk (fish-cake) in 0.3cm thickness.
2. Slice king oyster mushroom in 0.3cm thickness, then julienne in 0.3cm thickness.
3. Finely chop spring onions.
4. In a large bowl, put coarse red pepper powder, brown sugar and red pepper paste.
5. Put ramyun seasoning in a frying-pan and roast it to remove any foul smell. Then, pour it in a bowl.
6. In a frying pan, put sesame oil and cooking oil and stir-fry spring onions over medium heat until spring onion flavor is infused in the oil.
7. Pour the spring onion oil in a bowl and mix well so that the sauce doesn’t clump.
8. Bring water to the boil in a pot, and cook the noodles and solid flakes.
9. When the ramyun noodles are cooked midway, add eomuk (fish-cake) and king oyster mushroom.
10. When the noodles are fully cooked, rinse in cold water and drain in a sieve.
11. Toss the noodles and toppings with the sauce.
12. Plate it and sprinkle sesame seeds to finish. Tip. You can add some vinegar to taste.
